1. Booking and Payment
  •  All bookings must be made in advance through our official website or authorized agents.
  •  Full payment is required to confirm your reservation.
  •  Prices are listed per person unless otherwise specified.

2. Vehicle Sharing Policy
  •  Our ATVs seat 2 persons; buggies seat 4 persons.
  •  If you select vehicle sharing during booking, you agree to ride with others in your party.
  •  Children may only ride as passengers and must meet all safety and size requirements.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
  •  Cancellations:
  •  More than 24 hours before tour: 100% refund.
  •  Less than 24 hours: No refund.
  •  No-shows are non-refundable.
  •  If we cancel due to weather, road closures, or safety issues, you will receive a full refund or option to reschedule.

4. Damage Waiver and Responsibility
  •  You are responsible for the vehicle you are assigned.
  •  Reckless or negligent driving that results in damage will incur repair costs billed directly to you.
  •  An Insurance waiver is signed prior to the tour. This waiver limits your financial responsibility for accidental damage to a maximum of ISK 250.000
  •  The waiver does not cover intentional damage, driving under the influence, or ignoring guide instructions.

5. Safety and Participation Requirements
  •  All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license and be at least 17 years old.
  •  All participants must follow guide instructions at all times.
  •  Helmets and safety equipment are mandatory and provided.
  •  We reserve the right to deny participation to anyone suspected of being under the influence or posing a safety risk.

6. Tour Changes and Conditions
  •  We reserve the right to modify or shorten tours due to weather, trail closures, volcanic or seismic activity, or other unforeseen conditions.
  •  This may include changes to the route, duration, stops, or group size.

7. Assumption of Risk
  •  Participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to rough terrain, volcanic zones, and rapidly changing weather.
  •  By booking a tour, you accept these risks and agree that the operator is not liable for injury, damage, or loss unless due to gross negligence.

8. Privacy
  •  Personal data is collected strictly for booking and operational communication.
  •  We do not sell or share your information with third parties outside necessary service providers.

9. Photo & Video Consent
  •  By participating in the tour, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes.
  •  If you do not wish to appear in media, please inform staff before the tour begins.

10. Force Majeure
  •  We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
  •  Natural disasters
  •  Government restrictions
  •  War or terrorism
  •  Pandemic-related closures
  •  Infrastructure failure

11. Health Conditions
  •  You confirm you are physically able to participate and do not suffer from medical conditions that could be worsened by outdoor activity or vibration.
  •  Pregnant persons or those with recent injuries should consult a doctor before joining.
  •  We reserve the right to deny participation for health or safety reasons.

12. Waiver of Claims
  •  By participating, you release the operator from all liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, except in cases of proven gross negligence.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  •  These Terms and Conditions are governed by Icelandic law.

This Privacy Policy will help you understand how 4x4adventuresiceland.is collects, uses and protects the personal information you provide to us on our website. 4x4adventuresiceland.is reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time.

By using the 4x4 adventures iceland website, products or services, you are agreeing to this privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Privacy Policy”), in accordance with pt. 1. para. 1., Article 8 of The Act on the Protection of Privacy as regards the Processing of Personal Data, No. 77/2000 (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”). Terms in the Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as in the Act. You therefore Consent that 4x4 adventures iceland Processes your Personal Data in accordance with the Privacy Policy or as permitted by law.

4x4 adventures iceland collects and Processes Personal Data which customers register on the 4x4 adventures iceland website, in addition to information on how customers use the website, i.e. by collecting cookies. Personal Data may also be collected during the booking process, shopping, ordering, payment, and in relation to the issuing of tickets.

The collection and Processing of Personal Data collection is for purposes of accounting, billing, auditing, issuing of tickets and credit card verification. Personal Data may be used for security purposes, immigration control and customs enforcement if required by law, administration, quality control, marketing, or legal purposes. Additionally, Personal Data may be used in relation to customer loyalty programs, test purposes, maintenance, customer service and other travel or tour related purposes.

4x4 adventures iceland may use Personal Data for marketing, promotional purposes and market analysis. When you sign up for offers, purchase services or book flights with 4x4 adventures iceland, you consent to be contacted for marketing purposes on a regular basis.

4x4 adventures iceland is permitted to direct marketing material towards parties which have agreed to the Privacy Policy, regardless of whether they have been registered as objecting to having their names being used for marketing purposes via the National Registry of Iceland. However, I4x4 adventures iceland customers may always opt out of receiving marketing material from the company. 4x4 adventures iceland is always permitted to contact customers with direct information related to particular transactions, even if they have been registered as objecting to having their names being used for marketing purposes via the National Registry of Iceland and also opted out of receiving marketing material from the company.

4x4 adventures iceland may permit it‘s partners to access or Process Personal Data. However, this will only be permitted on a reasonable or legal basis. Additionally, 4x4 adventures iceland is permitted to maintain a customer registry and to share it with others for additional Processing, given that Personal Data is treated in accordance with law.

4x4 adventures iceland Customers have the right to have incorrect, misleading or incomplete Personal Data rectified, erased, deleted or improved upon. 4x4 adventures iceland customers have the right to have their Personal Data erased if there is no reasonable basis for it being kept. An exception to this shall be made if 4x4 adventures iceland is obliged to keep the data in accordance with law.

4x4 adventures iceland never collects or Processes Personal Data unless it is done fairly, on reasonable grounds or with a legal basis, and makes sure that all usage is done in accordance with good practices of Personal Data Processing.

In case of the Privacy Policy not applying, Icelandic law shall apply.
